logo concept & design

The logo for TOTI is based on symbolism of import to the founders of the organization, who are Dine, Haudenosaunee, Navajo, and Lenape.

It incorporates the medicine wheel, the great tree of peace, the turtle paw, and a symbol often seen in Navajo artworks (sometimes interpreted as a snow cloud.) They make up the shell pattern of the Turtle Island namesake.

Together on Turtle Island is a unique, inter-tribal organization. Native founded and Native-led, it is dedicated to respecting and honoring the voices and innate abilities of all Native people, through partnership, collaboration, and inter-tribal coordination. Utilizing both short and long-term programs, Together on Turtle Island seeks to foster and support sovereignty in the areas of water, food, PPE, and other necessities of daily life.
